There was a lot of talk about abortion during Wisconsin’s debate for Attorney General.
Current Attorney General Josh Kaul and Republican challenger Eric Toney met for their only debate last night. Kaul accused Toney of being extreme because he supports Wisconsin’s law that bans almost all abortions. Toney walked back comments that he would give local prosecutors the power to file charges in abortion cases if the A-G’s office did not. Toney, for his part, hammered Kaul on what he says is a lack of focus on crime at the A-G’s office, including a backlog of child sex case referrals.
