Darrell Brooks Jr. says there are two sides to every story.
He cried yesterday as he began his defense in the Waukesha Christmas Parade trial. Brooks is acting as his own lawyer in the trial, and started his day yesterday by calling two witnesses. Brooks is facing life in prison for a host of charges, including six counts of homicide. Prosecutors spent two weeks tying Brooks to the attack at the parade last year. Brooks, for his part, tried to cast doubt that he was the one driving the SUV that killed or injured more than 60 people.
