The sheriff in Shawano County says he’s interested in finding-out what happened, not ticketing people for underage drinking at the weekend bonfire that exploded.
Authorities yesterday made it clear they are not looking to punish the high schoolers who were likely drinking at the early Saturday bonfire in the Town of Maple Grove. It’s still not clear just what caused the fire to explode, or who poured what into the fire. As many as 40 people were hurt when the fire exploded. The sheriff’s office says it will have open interviews at the Pulaski Police Department from 4 p.m. til 9 p.m. today to meet with witnesses and victims.
