The new polls show Senator Ron Johnson growing his lead Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes.

A poll commissioned by AARP puts the two-term Republican ahead of his Democratic challenger 51-to-49 percent among likely voters.  A Fox News poll of registered voters has Johnson with 48-to-44 percent lead over Barnes.  That’s a reversal of an August Fox News poll had Barnes leading Johnson, 50-to-46 percent.

Continuing with a look at early polling in our state, the Wisconsin governor’s race remains tight a little more than six weeks out from Election Day.

A poll of likely voters commissioned by AARP gives Republican Tim Michels a three-percentage point lead over Democratic Governor Tony Evers, 50-to-47 percent.  A Fox News poll of registered voters shows Evers and Michels tied, each with 47-percent support.  Evers had a 49-to-46 percent lead over Michels in an August Fox News poll.
