Wisconsin’s governor is criticizing his opponent this fall over his latest thoughts on abortion.
Governor Evers on Friday said Tim Michels is being dishonest and is trying to hide his position on abortion from voters. Evers’ comments came after Michels said he’d sign a law adding exemptions to Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion law. The governor has made abortion the centerpiece of his re-election bid, and has spent millions of dollars on ads that call Michels radical. Michels says he is pro-life, but would sign the law if lawmakers sent it to him.
