Wisconsin’s races for governor and U.S. Senate are a pick ’em.
The latest Marquette Law School Poll released yesterday gives Governor Tony Evers a slight, three-point lead over Republican Tim Michels. Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson has a slight, one-point lead over Democrat Mandela Barnes. Both leads are within the poll’s margin of error.
The biggest change in the new poll is the spike in negative reaction to the Democratic candidates. The poll says Governor Evers has a negative overall job approval, with 47 percent of people unhappy with his job compared to 44 percent who support him.
Mandela Barnes’ unfavorable rating shot-up 10 points from the Marquette Poll last month, nearly as many voters now have a negative view of him now as there are voters with a positive view.
