Brett Favre knew more about that misspent Mississippi welfare money than first thought.
Newly revealed text messages show Favre, a Mississippi welfare manager, and even the state’s governor knew the money he was paid back in 2017 was supposed to go to low income families. The texts quote Favre asking about using some of the millions he was paid for speeches that he never gave to build a volleyball center at the University of Southern Mississippi where his daughter played volleyball.
Favre was never charged in the case, but was ordered to repay the money.
