New York City is marking the 21st anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks today in Lower Manhattan.
Visiting Ground Zero in New York City after the attacks, President George W. Bush addressed first responders on a bullhorn.
Family members of loved ones who lost their lives in the attack will read the names of the nearly three-thousand people who were killed on September 11th, 2001.
Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will attend the ceremony at the National September 11th Memorial in New York City.

President Biden will speak at the Pentagon this morning on the 21st anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks. He’ll be joined by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley. First Lady Jill Biden will deliver remarks at the Flight 93 National Memorial observance in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Here in our state, A 9-11 remembrance event happens this morning in downtown Sun Prairie, come rain or shine. The Sun Prairie Fire and Rescue Company is hosting the Remembrance Ceremony which begins at 7:46-a.m. at Fire Station Number One on North Bristol Street.
In a Facebook post yesterday, Fire Chief Chris Garrison says the terrorist attack and the response to it “made everyone in the United States comprehend that service to society matters.” Chief Garrison also says, “We promised to NEVER FORGET!”
