Dane County is including hundreds of thousands of dollars in its budget to address the opioid epidemic.
Dane County Executive Joe Parisi says the 740-thousand dollar Harm Reduction and Prevention Act will take six key actions, including community education, awareness, widespread distribution of Narcan and fentanyl test strips. Parisi says 86 percent of the overdose deaths in Dane County last year were opiate-related.
