A Minnesota man picks up an OWI in Eau Claire County.
36 year old Sean Michael Renspe, from Stacy , MN has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Sunday, September 4th at approximately 10:13 a.m., a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation on Interstate 94 at mile post 71 near Eau Claire. The Trooper observed that the driver, Sean Michael Renspe of Stacy, MN, showed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Mr. Renspe was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. He was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance while having a minor in the vehicle, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Renspe was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood, then transported to the Eau Claire County Jail.
The minor was left in the care of his mother.
