There are now shoplifting charges against the Chippewa County mom charged in her son’s death.
Prosecutors on Monday charged Natasha Bratland with stealing from the Walmart in Lake Hallie. Police say she stole about 40 dollars’ worth of items. Bratland is looking at child neglect charges in Taylor County after her son was hit by a train last summer. Police say Bratland told them she was already going to prison, so she didn’t think stealing from Walmart would make much of a difference.
