The size and cost of Mandela Barnes’ state-supported security team is now a campaign issue.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported yesterday that Barnes has racked-up over 600 thousand-dollars in security costs during his first three years in office. That is ten times more than the state’s last Lieutenant Governor. Barnes is Lt. Governor, but he is also running for US Senate. Republicans yesterday said the whopping number shows how quick Barnes is to spend other people’s money.
