EC Schools Prepare For Full Classrooms

Eau Claire Schools need teachers, but not as badly as some communities in the state.

Superintendent Michael Johnson yesterday said there are 16 open teaching jobs right now, and another 40 open jobs in non-teaching positions. That is far better than some Wisconsin schools who are dozens or even over 100 teachers short heading into the new school year. Johnson says Eau Claire schools hired about 200 new people this summer, he’s not saying just how many of them are new teachers.
