A correctional officer in Racine is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.
A Racine County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post on Friday says corrections supervisor 37-year old Jacqueline Heidt works at the Racine Correctional Institution in Sturtevant. She was arrested Thursday based on allegations made by an inmate who claims to have had sexual relations with Heidt off and on since April. Heidt is being held in the Racine County Jail where she is expected to face several charges including misconduct in public office.
