DATCAP Warns of Loan Scam

There’s now a warning about scammers looking to take advantage of President Biden’s student loan cancellation program.

The state’s Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says people need to be wary of companies that promise to handle all of the paperwork and filings for the program, for a small fee of course. DATCP says offers that sound too good to be true always are. The advice from DATCP, you don’t have to pay anyone anything to take advantage of the student loan cancellation program.
