A former jail guard in Jackson County is headed behind bars for sexually assaulting an inmate.
A judge yesterday sentenced former jailer Bret Noltner to one year in jail. Prosecutors say Noltner would take the female prisoner out of her cell, then hide from security cameras while they had sex. In addition to the jail time, Noltner will have to register as a sex offender for 15 years.
