Through Component #2 of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Recovery Assistance Grant Program,
Eau Claire County has awarded 24 grants totaling $1,763,500 to County business and nonprofit
organizations to fund greater community pandemic recovery efforts.
A total of 59 applications were submitted, and the proposed projects addressed a wide variety of needs and efforts to assist with pandemic relief for the greater community. A complete list of the grant recipients is available on the County’s website WITH AN EASY CLICK HERE.
All submitted applications were reviewed by the Eau Claire County ARPA Grant Application Review
Committee based on six criteria:
1) Need for the Project
2) How the Project Met the Need
3) Timing
4) Staffing and Partnerships
5) Budget & Matching Funds; and
6) Disproportionately Impacted Communities or Populations.
Projects must begin in 2022 and need to be completed by December 2024. Grant recipients will enter into a grant agreement with Eau Claire County, and grant recipients will submit monthly reports and other required documentation throughout the grant period.
The grant program is one of two components created to help assist with pandemic recovery throughout Eau Claire County. The program’s Component #1 previously awarded $5,000 grants to 87 County
business and nonprofits to assist with recovery from the negative impacts caused by the COVID-19
pandemic. West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (WCWRPC) is administering both
Component #1 and Component #2 of the Eau Claire County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Recovery
Assistance Grant Program for Eau Claire County. The program was established using a portion of the
funding provided to Eau Claire County under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
