People in Wisconsin continue to wait to get their permission slip from the state to get to work.
State Rep. Shae Sortwell, a Republican from Two Rivers, on Friday blasted Governor Evers for the delays and backlogs at the state’s licensing agency. Sortwell says the state blacked-out two weeks in April and May to update its computer system to more easily be able to handle licensing requests, but he says things haven’t improved since then.
Sortwell says the governor created nine new positions at the licensing agency but hasn’t hired anyone to fill those jobs yet. Sortwell says the delays are keeping people, from doctors to barbers, from being able to work in the state.
