A more than century old manufacturing company in Janesville is in bankruptcy proceedings.
Yesterday the GazetteXtra reported that a bankruptcy court has placed Hufcor into receivership. The report says Hufcor has been in business since 1900 making it the oldest continuously operated manufacturer in the country of accordion style space partitions. The family owned enterprise was sold in 2017 to L.A. based private equity firm, OpenGate Capital which has since farmed out all of Hufcor’s manufacturing to Monterrey in northern Mexico.
