Voters in La Crosse County won’t see ballot questions about pot and abortion this fall. The county board last night voted down or was deadlocked on questions for the fall ballot.
Both would have been advisory questions, meaning they didn’t carry any weight or change any laws. Supporters say it’s important to let lawmakers in Madison know where the people stand on key issues. Opponents say the ballot questions were simply aimed at getting more people to the polls in November.
