The top Republican in the State Assembly says the state’s now-former election investigator may lose his law license.
Speaker Robin Vos yesterday said he’s not a lawyer, but said there are questions about what happens when a lawyer ‘besmirches’ their client. Vos hired former Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman to look into the 2020 election, but Gableman turned on Vos and endorsed his political opponent. Vos fired Gableman last week. The speaker yesterday said it will be up to the state’s lawyer discipline board to decide about Gableman’s future.
