Chippewa Falls is the latest city in Wisconsin to ask voters for more money this fall.
The city council last night okayed a one-point-three million-dollar tax hike question for the fall ballot. Mayor Greg Hoffman says the tax hike will cost homeowners between 140 and 170 dollars more in taxes this year. The mayor has earmarked the money for new police officers and firefighters, as well as raises for those officers and firefighters currently on the job.
