The UW System is offering free tuition to some students at three regional campuses.
The university yesterday announced the Wisconsin Tuition Promise program. The idea is to offer ‘last dollar’ financial aid for kids from moderate and low income families. The program covers costs at UW-Milwaukee, UW-Whitewater, and UW-Parkside. The idea is to get students a degree without any tuition or fees. Families have to make less than 67 thousand-dollars a-year to qualify.
The first round of students will see some help next fall.
