National Guard soldiers from the 157th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade will be heading to the Horn of Africa.
The Wisconsin guard brigade received their orders today and will leave on their deployment this fall. The Milwaukee-based unit will include about 280 soldiers from units around the state. The unit will mobilize to support Operation Enduring Freedom-Horn of Africa to enhance partnerships and stability in the region of eastern Africa.
