The Madison area is included as one of 20-regions for CHIPS Act investment.
The CHIPS and Science Act was signed into law on Tuesday by President Joe Biden to provide capital investment funds in the billions of dollars for technological development and manufacturing. WMTV reported yesterday that Madison Chamber of Commerce President Zach Brandon says the expected infusion of capital has the potential to propel the Madison area into prominence as a technology hub.
