Coronavirus Guidelines Shift

Wisconsin is ending the week with 540 people in the hospital with the coronavirus.

The state’s Hospital Association yesterday said the 540 people in the hospital with the virus is up over 30 people from the start of the week. Wisconsin is seeing the kind of coronavirus hospitalization numbers that it saw earlier this spring.

Wisconsin may be about to drop its close-contact quarantine rules. The CDC yesterday said people in the country no longer need to quarantine after coming into contact with someone who has the coronavirus.

The CDC also said there’s no longer a need to stay six-feet apart. Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services usually falls in line with the CDC’s recommendations, but DHS hasn’t issued any specific changes yet.
