Kenosha is going to ask voters about marijuana this fall.
The city’s common council last night approved an advisory referendum for the fall ballot. The question will ask voters if they want to see pot legalized and taxed in the state. Several council members say the question is a ‘show of Democracy’ that will tell leaders in Madison what the people want. Critics say the marijuana question is an attempt to get more people to vote in what are expected to be close races for governor and U.S. Senate.
