One Winner, $1.3 Billion

The Illinois Lottery says a billion-dollar Mega Millions ticket was sold at a convenience store near Chicago.  

Lottery officials say the two-dollar ticket was purchased at a Speedway filling station in Des Plains that matched all six numbers in Friday night’s drawing.  The jackpot is worth an estimated one-point- three billion dollars before taxes, making it the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot ever.
