Inmates leaving the Kewaunee County Jail are getting something more than their clothes and mail when they head back into the world.
Sheriff Matt Joski says he will offer inmates Narcan upon their release. Narcan is used to treat opioid overdoses, and the sheriff said it’s needed in his community. Joski says there is a ‘humanistic side’ to his job, Joski said the idea is not to encourage drug use, but to encourage drug users to take the steps necessary for recovery.
