Milwaukee is updating its convention plan, this time for the Republicans.
An RNC planning committee on Friday picked Milwaukee to host the 2024 Republican National Convention. Milwaukee beat-out Nashville, which saw some opposition from local Democratic leaders. Milwaukee will largely use the plan first put together for the Democratic National Convention in 2020. The convention didn’t happen because of the coronavirus. The RNC is planned for the summer of 2024.
