The family of the man who police say started a deadly shootout at the El Rey grocery store is planning to sue.
Luis Lorenzo’s family yesterday said they plan to file lawsuits against El Rey and Marshal Public Safety, which is the company that hired the two security guards involved in the shooting. Milwaukee Police say Lorenzo was wanted and armed when he was asked to leave the grocery store earlier this month. Once outside, investigators say he killed a security guard before the second security guard shot and killed him.
Lorenzo’s family say the security guard who shot Lorenzo shouldn’t have had a gun.
