The Republican race for governor in Wisconsin is getting a bit rougher.
Rebecca Kleefisch this week unveiled her first negative campaign commercial where she accuses Tim Michels of wanting to raise the gas tax. Kleefisch is basing the ad on Michels association with groups that have pressed to raise the gas tax in the past. Michels says the ad is what he expects from Kleefisch, who he called a career politician. The two are the frontrunners in the Republican primary. Voters will decide on August 9th.
