They are worried about the costs of the convention, and the potential for ‘divisive rhetoric.’ Nashville’s wavering could open the door for Milwaukee to snag the 2024 convention. Milwaukee leaders initially balked at hosting the convention as well, but their opposition was eventually overcome. Nashville is expected to try again in two weeks.
