The members of Scorched Waves are okay after spending their Fourth of July in Highland Park, Illinois.
The band from Stevens Point was in town to compete in a battle of the bands at the town’s high school football field, a few miles from Highland Park’s parade shooting. Lead guitarist Tyler Armstrong says they heard about the shooting while they were doing pre-concert sound checks. They then hid under the stadium’s bleachers. Everyone is okay now back in Wisconsin.
