“O, say can you see….”
It’s here! Independence Day is steeped in history and filled with traditions. For many people that includes cookouts, fun in the sun, and a fireworks show at dusk.
For others it can be a time of painful memories and triggers. Being mindful of our Veterans is an important part of the day as well. CLICK HERE FOR MORE HELPFUL INFORMATION AND VETERANS RESOURCES.
As you plan your own celebrations, we also take time to remember all of the deep sacrifice from so many along the way as we enjoy our many daily freedoms.
If you are looking to plan the afternoon here locally, Carson kicks off an entire day of 4th of July activities. It’s as American as baseball (the Express play today!) and lumberjacks (peek inside the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp!) a train ride (they kick off at noon with the Chippewa Valley Museum) and the “Ohhh’s” and “Ahhh’s” as the fireworks return to the park (and are set to music thanks to our own local radio stations and soundtrack!)
A reminder about those booms in the sky-they might not sound as harmless to your pet. There are some tips HERE for you to keep dogs calm.
There is a day of fun planned, be part of it! CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO. We wish you and yours a safe, fun, and poignant Independence Day.
