Monkeypox Confirmed in WI

The first case of monkeypox in Wisconsin is now confirmed. 

Yesterday, state health officials said the case in a person living in Dane County who is self isolating.  Chief Medical Officer Doctor Ryan Westergaard says the virus spreads through contact with objects contaminated with the virus and from skin to skin contact or bodily respiratory fluid contact with another person such as getting coughed on by someone who has the virus.
