If the suspect in the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack wants to plead not guilty by reason of insanity, he’s going to have to convince three doctors first.
The judge in the case yesterday ordered a series of mental health exams for Darrell Brooks Jr. He’s facing over 80 charges for the attack on Waukesha’s Christmas Parade last November. Six people were killed and over 60 others were injured. Brooks’ lawyers are preparing an insanity defense ahead of his trial which is supposed to start this fall.
