Steven Avery has changed prisons.
The state’s Department of Corrections this week said Avery has been moved to the medium security facility at Fox Lake. He was at the maximum security prison in Waupun. Avery is part of the Netflix series Making a Murderer and currently serving a life sentence for the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach. He’s maintained his innocence in the case. His lawyer said back in April that they plan to file a new appeal soon.
