A fire does about $10,000 in damage.
On Saturday June 18, 2022 at approximately 1:18PM the Eau Claire Fire Department responded for a report of a structure fire at 314 5th Avenue. Upon arrival fire crews reported a working fire in the basement of a 2.5 story residential tri-plex.
Occupants were evacuated by fire crews while they worked quickly to locate and extinguish the fire. The fire was contained to the basement area. Construction of the structure provided challenges to ensure there was no fire extension to the rest of the home. The fire was marked under control after 50 minutes.
3 Engines, 1 Ladder Trucks, 1 Ambulances and 2 Chiefs and 1 inspector responded to the call. There were no reported injuries. The fire remains under investigation. The fire department was assisted by the Eau Claire Communications Center, Eau Claire Police Department, and Xcel Energy.
