In 1898, Atlantic City, New Jersey, opened their world famous Steel Pier.
In 1927, the United States Postal Service offered the first postage stamp featuring the name of a living American. The special, ten-cent stamp commemorated Charles Lindbergh and his historic flight across the Atlantic Ocean.

In 2011, saxophone legend Clarence Clemons died at the age of 69. Clemons was best known for his work with Bruce Springsteen’s backing band, The E Street Band.
In 2013 Russia passes a law banning foreign same-sex couples from adopting children.
In 2016, Chelsea Clinton welcomed her second child, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky, with husband Marc Mezvinsky.
In 2018, President Trump orders the creation of the sixth branch of the U.S. military. It would be known as the space force.
In 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court blocked then President Trump’s bid to end the Obama-era Dreamers Program. This meant Dreamers could stay in the country to work and go to school.
