One of the Republican lawmakers who wanted the governor to fire the state’s now-former Parole Board chief says his resignation is only a partial victory.
State Senator Roger Roth yesterday said Parole Board director John Tate was only carrying-out Governor Evers’ agenda. He said Tate’s resignation on Friday won’t change what he calls the soft on crime approach from the Evers’ Administration. Roth says Republican lawmakers are going to have to get tougher on crime in response.
