Minnesota and Wisconsin are on a list of states receiving funding from the EPA in an effort to control pollution and farm runoff in the Mississippi River.
The sixty-million-dollars is being given to states with tributaries leading into the major river over the next five years. The money is being given to twelve states including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. The announcement of the funding from an infrastructure bill signed by President Biden was held in Des Moines by the Environmental Protection Agency over the weekend.
