Wisconsin hasn’t reported a new bird flu case in nearly three weeks.
The state’s Department of Agriculture last reported a confirmed case of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza on May 20th in a flock of backyard chickens in Bayfield County. Since then, there’s been nothing. Overall, Wisconsin has confirmed bird flu cases in commercial or backyard flocks in 14 counties. Nearly three million birds in the state have been put down because of the flu.
