It’s life in prison for the grandfather who beat his 12-year-old grandson to death with a sledgehammer.
A Milwaukee County judge sentenced Andrez Martina to life without the possibility of parole for the August 2021 beating death of his grandchild Andre Smith. Investigators say Martina beat the boy because he thought he’d stolen money from him. The judge called Martina a coward for not taking responsibility for his actions in the boy’s death.
