Eau Claire County prosecutors have filed formal charges in last week’s stabbing at The Regency Inn.
The D.A. yesterday filed battery, reckless endangerment, and weapons charges against 38-year-old Samuel Thornton. Police say he stabbed a man in the chest after a fight. Thornton was wanted at the time of the stabbing, prosecutors also charged him with bail jumping. He’s being held on a five thousand-dollar cash bond.
