An east Madison home has thousands of dollars worth of damage after a fire caused by coals from a grill.
The Madison Fire Department says firefighters were called to a home in the 700 block of Bewick Drive late Saturday night where they found a trash can on fire. The fire department says someone put burning coals from a grill in the trash can, causing the fire. The fire did about 25-hundred dollars worth of damage to the home.
