Amy Lynn Hughes has a million reasons to look forward to New Year’s Eve in New York City’s Times Square. The Wind Lake resident is a finalist to win $1 million on January 1, 2023, on live national television and earn the title – “Powerball First Millionaire of the Year®.”
Selected from an estimated 21,000 Wisconsin entries on April 25, 2022, Hughes will represent the Badger State in the national VIP experience that includes winners from different U.S. lottery jurisdictions.

The Powerball First Millionaire of the Year drawing will happen live on air, just after midnight, January 1, 2023, Eastern Standard Time, during the broadcast of Dick Clark New Year’s Rockin’ Eve® with Ryan Seacrest.
