A judge has dismissed the defamation case tied to Foxconn and some Racine County leaders.
Mount Pleasant’s village attorney sued local blogger Kelly Gallaher over what she wrote on her website about the village and the Foxconn project. The judge yesterday said nothing that Gallaher wrote crossed the line. The judge says there is a different threshold for criticism for public officials. And he said while village leaders may not like it, public criticism comes with the job. Gallaher said the taxpayers of Mount Pleasant and Racine County won with the decision.
