Local Shelter Aims “Fur” New Home News | May 19, 2022 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy The Eau Claire County Humane Association needs a million-dollars to build a new shelter. The Humane Association has been raising money since the start of last year to replace their 25-year-old building. They’ve raised about five-and-a-half million of their six-and-a-half million-dollar goal. The Association’s Shelley Janke says there’s a special matching fund for new donors. She hopes to raise the money soon, and get the new shelter built before 2024.
