Goats could become a permanent part of Wausau’s park management plan
. A city committee last night okayed a new ordinance that would allow for goats inside the city limits. Wausau used a herd of goats last year to get rid of invasive plants at the park on Barker-Stewert Island. The goats simply ate the plants. Park managers say the new ordinance would give them the option to use the goats each year, or at different parks in the city.
